SUMMARY:Open Identity Summit 2013
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe aim of Open Identity Summit 2013 is to link practical e
xperiences and requirements with academic innovations. Focus areas will be
Research and Applications in the area of Identity Management and Open Sourc
e with a special focus on Cloud Computing. \n\nOpen standards and interface
s as well as open source technologies play a central role in the current id
entity management landscape as well as in emerging future scenarios based o
n cloud computing for example.\n\nWhile there are already plenty of success
ful applications in which those techniques are used to guarantee the authen
ticity and integrity of entities, there are still many closely related area
s which demand further research.  \n\nWe invite stakeholder and technical e
xperts from public administration, industry, science and academia to propos
e contributions to the program of the workshop. Submissions should be exten
ded abstracts (3-4 pages) or full papers (max. 12 pages) in English. Submit
ted abstracts and papers will be reviewed by the program committee. Accepte
d papers will be presented at the workshop and are planned to be published
in the GI-Edition Lecture Notes in Informatics (LNI). \n\nOpen Identity Sum
mit 2013 on 10.-11.09.2013 is jointly organized by the Special Interest Gro
ups BIOSIG, CRYPTO and PET and the regional chapter Upper Franconia within
the German Computer Science Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik), the EU-f
unded FutureID Project, the Open eCard Project, the Federal Association for

tities for the cloud, and last but not least the Trusted Cloud Program supp
orted by the German government.\n\n\n\nTopics of Interest\n\nThe topics of
the workshop include but are not limited to:\n\nIdentity Management\n\n Se
curity, interoperability as well as legal, economic and privacy aspects of
identity management. Security analysis and proofs for authentication proto
cols and federated identity management protocols based on SAML, OpenID, WS-
 * and OAuth for example. Concepts for and practical experiences with compo
nents, systems, services, processes and applications for identity managemen
 t. New ways and mobile aspects of identity management and alternative iden
tity tokens. Provable secure identity management for cloud computing. Int
ernational, global and long term aspects of identity management. \n\n\n\nOp
en Source\n\n Security, interoperability as well as legal and economic asp
ects of open source in the area of security and identity management. Conce
pts and practical experiences with open source components related to securi
ty and  identity management. Integration of identity management solutions
in existing open source libraries or frameworks. Open source tools for dis
tributed specification, development, quality assurance and dissemination of
project results. Aspects related to open source community development and
